Helped organized by the Student Senate Service Committee, PRIDE Day is a day long event where everyone who loves being a part of the Blue Jay community assembles and volunteers their time and energy to improve the aesthetic appeal of the campus. Volunteers range from current students, to alumni and their children, to professors and facilities crews and the president of the college. PRIDE stands for Promote, Recruit, Involve, Donate, and Employ. This is the mission of what the day is about.
This year, over 150 people volunteered to work on service projects like mulching around buildings, planting flowers, raking leaves, and cleaning up the lake. Without the help of the many volunteers, outdoor projects like this would take much longer to get completed. Thank you to all who attended the event, let’s get even more volunteers than ever before next year!
